Firewood Delivery / Collection

We supply bagged or loose seasoned firewood (Beech, Ash, Oak and Sycamore) to the surrounding areas of Kilkenny, Carlow, Wexford on a collect or delivered basis. Our timber is sourced locally from managed estates and forests. Timber is stored in our yard and will be left dry for 1 year. Our products are suitable for: Woodturning (selection of seasoned native hardwoods) Playgrounds (soft landing) Paddocks (all weather) Lanscaping Paths Amenities (Local Authorities) Gardening (mulching, weed suppression, moisture retention, soil quality improvement, aesthetic) Round Timber supplies Firewood (seasoned, native timber, hardwood-rich mixture

We can deliver loose pickup or truck loads or bulk bags. You can simply collect from the yard with your car & trailer (collections Saturdays only). We can deliver your firewood to the surrounding areas of Kilkenny, Carlow and Wexford. Alternatively you can collect on Saturdays from our yard: Our yard is open for timber collection Saturday from 9 am to 5pm. Please ring for deliveries on other days.

Additive-free Woodchip Mulch

A.B. Barrowmount supply bulk woodchip mulch, suitable for playgrounds, paths, all-weather paddocks, chicken runs etc. We also supply smaller quantities for domestic use. Our woodchip mulch is sourced locally in Ireland and has a high timber content which ensures good longevity; we can screen using our own tub grinding machine to produce various sizes and types of wood chip and mulch, for example, Playground mulch, Woodland paths, All-weather Pony Paddocks, Dog runs, Poultry-keeping and Weed suppression, Moisture retention in gardens. All our wood chip / mulch is free from additives and dyes. It is a mixture of both hard wood and soft wood which reduces the acidity which is often found in treated mulches. All mulch is produced and sourced in Ireland.

We only supply seasoned firewood and we have invested heavily in the tools for the job. Our Wood Buster Grapple (see right) is fittted to our excavator and splits large sections of timber to accelerate the drying / seasonining process. It's 30 tonne ram makes short work of the biggest timber.

This means our seasoned timber is dry right through and ensures a great product for our customers and results in a great fire with little water content.
